Chesterland Chamber of Commerce Trustee Frank Makoski receives NOACC Bright Star Award
At the Semi-Annual Meeting of NOACC (Northern Ohio Area Chambers of Commerce), held on October 30, 2008 at Hillarities at Pickwick & Frolic in downtown Cleveland, Mark Nolan, WKYC-TV3 Anchor, presented awards to the first class of Chamber Bright Stars in Northern Ohio. These awards recognized a member from each chamber who made a significant impact on the chamber through membership, retention, sponsorship, economic development, operations and/or education.
The Chesterland Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that its Trustee and member, Frank Makoski, was a recipient of the award on behalf of our Chamber. Frank, who owns Makoski Construction and Remodeling, was recognized for his work as Chairperson of the successful 2008 Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic. His nomination stated that "his tireless efforts and attention to detail promoted the event and insured it would succeed. He stepped up, rallied the troops and worked toward a goal which was exceeded. He furthered the mission of our Chamber and left a good feeling among those in attendance. The positive public relations work he accomplished is alone worthy of the nomination...His dedication, drive and devotion, the same qualities that have made him an accomplished, award-winning business owner, reflect why he is truly a bright star in our Chamber."
