Chesterland Chamber of Commerce Annual
Golf Classic and Clambake

Wednesday, September 8, 2010
St. Denis Golf Course (10660 Chardon Road in Chardon, OH)
Registration at 9:00 a.m. with shotgun start at 11:00 a.m.

GOLF WITH US: The Chesterland Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Classic is a great opportunity to engage in friendly competition, network (and not work) while honing your golf skills on a beautiful and challenging course. Invite your clients, associates and friends and join the fun and games of skill. The proceeds from this event support the Chamber's annual Scholarship Fund awards as well as its mission and programs. TO REGISTER for this memorable event click here to download the form.

HELP WITH DONATIONS: While we are preparing for this year's Annual Golf Classic we are asking for your help. It's not that difficult and costs you nothing. When you are out dining or just cocktailing, please ask the establishment for a gift certificate donation for our Annual Golf Classic (remember this helps support our scholarship program). If we all start now and everyone gets one, it will make 2010 Golf Classic the best yet. There is plenty of time and with the economy being what it is, you are really helping that establishment in their advertising and getting additional customers through their doors. (They may set it up as a buy one/get one free deal, or half off the cost of an entree...let them be creative). You have nothing to lose as you are already showing your support to that establishment by being there...it only takes a minute for you to ask the management if they are willing to reciprocate. (It doesn't have to only include restaurants and bars...don't forget while you are out this summer: hotels, spas, hair salons, movie theaters, amusement parks, golf courses, local attractions, shopping malls, etc.) Use your imagination. Be creative.

We will have a special gift for whoever donates the most gift certificates for this event. Wouldn't it be great if that person was you? Please help. We appreciate you acting as ambassadors on behalf of the Chamber. Accept the challenge. You could be a winner!

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES: There are many of opportunities available to promote your business at this event. From the Platinum Sponsorship to the Hole Sponsorship, all are valuable ways to market your company to the golfers. Click here to download the form detailing all the sponsorship opportunities that await.

Thank you for your support!

Chesterland Chamber of Commerce Trustee Bridget Toomey receives NOACC Bright Star Award

Bridget Toomey receives NOACC Bright Star Award

At the Semi-Annual Meeting of NOACC (Northern Ohio Area Chambers of Commerce), held on October 29, 2009 at Cadillac Ranch in downtown Cleveland, Michael Cardamone, of WKYC-TV3, presented awards to the second year's class of Chamber Bright Stars in Northern Ohio. These awards recognized a member from each nominating chamber who made a significant impact on their chamber through membership, retention, sponsorship, economic development, operations and/or education.

The Chesterland Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that its Trustee and member, Bridget Toomey, was a recipient of the award on behalf of our Chamber. Bridget Toomey, of Bridget S. Toomey, C.P.A., was recognized because she supports all Chamber functions. She is active at our Board meetings, offering input, asking the right questions and helping to keep the meetings on track. She chairs two committees (being instrumental in having our new "Welcome Home" banners produced locally and displayed along the roadways in the center of Chester Township as well as spearheading our yearly search for new Chamber trustees). The results of her efforts on these items reflect her commitment and dedication. She is a great ambassador for our Chamber and most deserving of this recognition. Congratulations, Bridget!
